Martina

Martina is certified massage therapist and have been since June, 2007. I got my certificate at Colorado School of Healing arts in Lakewood, CO. I love doing massage because I see it as a great way to help people become more aware of and change their bodies and feel empowered to heal and help themselves. Also, it just feels great.

I am a Denver native. I was born and raised here, went to Portland, OR for college, lived in Japan for almost two years and taught English, and then moved back to Denver and have called Denver home ever since.

When I'm not massaging people, I love to cook, read, go to concerts, hang out and play games with friends, ride my bicycle, swim, hike, walk, ski, and travel the world and acquire new languages.

Rachel

Rachel is a licensed massage therapist trained at the Boulder School of Massage. The best way to describe my personal approach to bodywork is that I center myself to my heart and then I listen. I listen very deeply to not only the body in front of me, but the whole person. I do work from a clinical standpoint but only so far - I let my intuition guide me.

I believe that 'deep tissue' is a necessary tool but its not the only one. If you address the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of the whole person as well, that the tissue work you do will be more effective. And beyond simply physical relief, you feel more balanced, the nervous system unwinds, and your soul feels like its lightened its load allowing it to follow its true desires.

Nikki

I have been a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist since 2009, upon graduating from the Connecticut School for Massage Therapy. I specialize in deep tissue/therapeutic massage; however, I am very interested in the mind/body/spirit connection. I reach this connection by centering myself and listening to the body as a whole, allowing my intuition to guide me. I find that the body is more receptive to healing when there is a balance between the mind/body/spirit. Since each body is different, I find it important to integrate different physical techniques, addressing the body’s individual needs. My goal is to assist each client in his/her own personal healing process, allowing their body to relax and be open to receiving.

Jane

I finished the 700-hour program in Massage Therapy at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in December 2010; and just became certified in Thai for the Table (variation of Thai Yoga Massage) in March.  Sports massage, and deep therapeutic work are my specialties.  I like getting in there and extracting the pain out.

Touch has been my biggest form of communication throughout my life, and my body has always been my outlet for expressing myself.  Using my body in motion is the most natural and freeing thing I know.  Making people feel better is something my soul has always been drawn to, and knows how to do well. Massage therapy lets me do all of these things together - I feel so lucky to have turned what I love and know into a profession!

Barbara

I graduated from Colorado School of Healing Arts in 2007 and have
enjoyed doing massage part-time and full-time for the past four years. I firmly believe in the power of touch and the body’s ability to heal through therapeutic muscle stimulation, and am privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of that healing.

Thai massage is a combination of the acupressure points in Chinese medicine with the gentle stretching found in yoga. It's primary focus is to balance out chi (or energy) in the body, alleviating illness and disease. Traditionally, Thai massage is practiced on the floor and the recipient is fully clothed.

Jessica

My roots as a healer come from hands-on energy work and compassionate co-existence. I discovered the healer within me at about 18 years old when I would perform spontaneous chakra clearings and energy upliftment treatments for friends and loved ones. I found yoga at that time too and began my own self healing path, transforming through much needed physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. It really is true that the healer must heal thyself to be a channel of healing for others.

In 2006, I decided to take my calling and passions to another level and become a massage therapist, and it has been a tremendous gift ever since. Drawing from a very athletic background as a competitive gymnast and my years to follow that as a yoga practitioner, my style is deep and therapeutic, really triggering in on releasing blockages that prevent us from living in our true freedom. I use a wide range of techniques in deep tissue, sport therapeutic and stretching, myofascial release, and energy work and I focus on the "whole person", the physical concerns as well as the mental-emotional components of what we "hold on to" in the body. My bodywork is as deep as my client needs it to be to get to those spots that need unlocking and provides the nurturing and relaxation it takes to slip away into that blissful place.
